Bamboo MacBook Case Protects Your Tech

Your MacBook means a lot to you, and you’d hate for anything to happen to it. Put that protective instinct to good, green use with the Silva Bamboo MacBook Case, which doubles as a standalone, suitcase-style bag.

Greendiary reports that this eco-friendly laptop case comes in two sizes, designed to accommodate the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro. The cases are lined with wool and constructed of machined pieces of bamboo that fit together by hand to ensure precision. Tung oil (along with a few layers of polyurethane, for good measure) give the final product an attractive sheen.

Unlike most laptop bags, this one isn’t designed with a shoulder strap, but rather with a briefcase-style leather hand-strap, sure to attract attention.

We love the way the the Silva case is picture among rough-and-tumble- rocks and such–i.e., an area most of us wouldn’t dream of dragging our precious tech into, unprotected. At $180, these cases aren’t cheap, but hey, neither is a new MacBook.
