Target Offers Green Home Makeover

Our favorite holiday here at EarthTechling is fast approaching, and with it, a veritable deluge of green-themed marketing campaigns. Target reports that it’s kicking off its “Earth Month celebration” with a sweepstakes featuring hundreds of prizes, including a “Refresh Your Nest” home makeover worth up to $50,000 with Target’s style expert for home, LEED accredited designer Sabrina Soto.

Other components of Target’s month-long eco love-fest include a giveaway of one million reusable, Tyvek-material shopping bags on April 17th, as well as an online boutique where guests can purchase sustainable products, receive sustainable tips, and (of course) download coupons to use at their local Target store.

Guests can register to win their eco-house makeover at this boutique, as well as the other sweepstakes prizes, such as eco-vacations (including airfare and accommodations), $5,000 worth of energy efficient lighting and/or appliances, various Target Earth Month products, and–perhaps most intriguingly–the chance to design their own line of environmentally-friendly cleaning products.

More information–and sweepstakes registration–is available at www.Target.com/Eco.

I have three (3) homes that houses men coming from prison and needing a second chance.u00a0 My vision is to take the three properties and do a complete makeover or tear down and build a nice 4 story building that would provide a complete list of re-entry services on the first floor. dormitory housing on the 2nd floor and independent living on the third and fourth floor.u00a0 I’ve tried everything and noting has worked.u00a0 We are a non-profit that have no money for such a project, yet we have the property and I believe we could use those properties to leverage funds to build or renovate.u00a0 Please help me to locate a builder that is willing to give assistants in finding finances and other necessary information to undertake such a worth while project. My Name is Eddie M. Woolfolk, eddew@aol.com
