Tesla Announces Test Drive Road Tour

Dreaming of your very own Tesla Roadster? If you live far from any of the company’s fourteen exclusive dealerships, don’t despair. Soon,  fans of the electric supercar all over North America–from Nova Scotia to Salt Lake City to Atlanta–will be able to attend test drive events as part of Tesla’s Go Electric Roadster Tour.

In case you’d somehow managed to forget, the Tesla Roadster accelerates from 0 to 60 in just 3.7 seconds, powered by an advanced lithium-ion battery pack that carries this stylish car 244 miles on a single charge. Charging time is less than four hours, and can be accomplished at home via any conventional 110 or 220-volt outlet. It consumes no gas, produces no emissions, and in most places, will automatically get you in the carpool lane.

“There is demand for the Roadster in so many cities that Tesla has yet to visit,” said Vice President of Communications Ricardo Reyes, in a statement. “We want to continue to show that electric cars are here today, and deliver an extraordinary driving experience no matter where you live.”  The company would also like to remind you that you can purchase a Roadster online–and that repairs, should they ever become necessary, will come to you, via the Tesla Rangers mobile service team.
