New Solar Urban Backpack Debuts

Seiz Apparel, a Spanish company focused on developed a better urban backpack, believes that one option those wanting such a backpack might also desire is clean, portable energy. To that end it has unveiled the Seiz U01 Solar Backpack, which prices around $430.

The Seiz U01 Solar Backpack has a solar panel installed on the frontside of it which charges an internal battery pack. This pack can in turn be used to charge a variety of mobile devices, such as MP3 players, PDAs, mobile phones and GPS navigators. Included with the pack are adapters for connectivity to the battery.

Features of this backpack include a variety of compartments to logically sort one’s gear, including dedicated spaces for a laptop, sunglasses, newspaper and mobile phone; a hand carrying option; a chest strap; and the ability to have up to eight characters embroidered on it.
