New Remote Outdoor Webcam Can Be Powered By Solar, Wind

Is there some far off section of your property you’d like to keep an eye on–and/or broadcast to the world? Now there’s a model of outdoor Webcam powered by a combo of solar and wind that’s virtually guaranteed to keep juiced, whatever the weather.

The Camsecure CCTV line of eco-friendly, wireless cameras, which comes to us courtesy of Red Ferret, features a range of 800 meters (around 2600 feet) and is wired for a direct internet or LAN connection,  though models can be set up for conventional wireless connections, as well. With boosters, that range can be continually expanded, so there’s virtually no limit to how far this outdoor camera can broadcast.

The Camsecure system comes with a controller that automatically manages the batteries, and the solar and wind charging components work separately, so you can disengage one or the other, if desired. The line of products includes static cameras as well as high-speed domes with remote zoom and PTZ controls that can be operated remotely from anywhere in the world, via the internet.
