IoGear, a maker of a broad range of consumer technology products, made its own green tech contribution to the Consumer Electronics Show this week by unveiling a solar-powered Bluetooth kit for one’s car. The new Solar Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit (GBHFK231) is priced around $70 and available now.
IoGear said the Solar Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit sports an integrated solar panel to collect solar energy to charge its internal battery. It can be windshield or visor mounted and, with a fully charged battery, can offer up to 11 to 13 hours of talk time. It is designed to be paired with a mobile phone which has wireless Bluetooth capabilities.
Other features of this solar Bluetooth hands-free kit include being able to switch between two paired phones and answering the one which rings, echo cancellation and noise reduction, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR technology, volume and mute buttons and an included micro-USB cable and vehicle charging adapter for those less than sunny days.
