Solar Golf Bags Charge Your Portables

Summer’s here, and the time is right for…solar powered golfing, of course.

These two models will schlep your golf balls and clubs, of course, like any other bag, but they also come with a variety of pockets for all your portable electronics. When the sun shines on your day on the links, thin film solar cells will power an internal battery, which in turn will provide juice for all your devices, be they mobile phones, MP3s, MP4s, PDAs, PMPs, Digital cameras,or iPods.

Available in both nylon and leather, these solar bags come complete with charging tips that can connect to phones and handhelds from Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, Motorola and Research In Motion. Charging times are dependent on the strength of sunlight, but on average, the bag will reach a full charge in about four to six hours.

Both bags offer a padded, adjustable shoulder strap, lightweight & durable nylon construction and pockets that are easily accessible while your bag is on the cart. They’re available through Patriot Solar Group for $275 (nylon) and $475 (leather).
