Black & Decker Debuts Two New Electric Lawn Mowers

Spring is in the air and the sound of gas guzzling lawnmowers echos around your neighborhood. You, being the green gardener you are, opt for a quiet and more eco-friendly alternative: an electric mower. Black & Decker looks to have you covered if you are looking for a new electric mower as it recently announced two cordless mowers that sport rechargeable batteries.

The 36 Volt, 19 In. Rechargeable Mower with Removable Battery (CM1936) and 36 Volt 18 In. Rechargeable Mower with Rear Bag (CM1836) from Black & Decker are both designed to free you from an issue which plagues many electric mower owners: needing to be plugged in while mowing. The battery on the 19-inch model is also removable so one can swap out batteries and keep mowing if they forget to charge the one which comes with the mower (this assumes, of course, that you’ve bought one of the extra batteries).

Features of note on these two mowers include instant start, one touch height adjustment and the ability to fold for easier storage. They are also more energy efficient than gas powered mowers and come with Energy Star qualified charging systems.
