  • Competitive price – This goes without saying. Exactly how much you pay for your panels depends on your installer and your area. In a 2017 report, NREL noted that most nation-wide solar installers can source solar panels at $0.65/watt, so if you’re spending more than $180 or so for a 275 watt solar panel, be sure to ask your installers about the costs.
