Three Of The “Most American Cars” Are American

Cars.com has been doing a survey for the past 9 years that looks at all the cars sold in this country and determines which of them are actually “American made”. The answer is…..not many.

First, let’s define our terms. Cars.com arbitrarily says that 75% of a car has to be made with “domestic parts” and assembled in the United States to qualify as “American made”. That’s their decision and they’re sticking to it, and this criteria has led to the fewest number of “American made” cars in the survey’s history.
