If you happen to live in Spain, you are likely one of the first who will be able to get his or her hands on this rather sleek looking new electric scooter. Debuting from Xkuty, the Xkuty One is said to price for around $3,700, or €2,800, according to Auto Evolution.
The Xkuty One sports a 1.5 kW electric motor powered by 48V, 17 Ah batteries that in combination allows this scooter to have a top range of 31 miles (50 km) and a top speed of around 28 mph (45 kph). The bike’s charger, which can be used to charge the vehicle in around two hours via a standard socket, sits in a small space under the rider’s seat.
Described as a fully assisted bike design, the motor is incorporated into the rear wheel hub, eliminating the need for chains found on traditional bikes. Its design is also envisioned as being ergonomic in some ways by reportedly helping the driver sit in the most natural and comfortable position possible.
Key features of the Xkuty One include a weight of around 99 pounds (45 kg), a very low level of noise while riding, one-button push start, regenerative braking to help extend range and a special dock found atop the handlebars that cradles a smartphone to display charging level and speed information through what’s likely a special app.
The designers of this cool electric scooter also aimed to make it customizable to its riders, offering different color choices for a range of its parts as well as different sticker combos. This all adds up to around 60 different customization choices.
As of right now, there’s no word on whether it will be exported to the United States or not.
