Making Art the Green Way: A Photo Gallery

Spreading awareness of the value and fragility of the planet, as well as ideas of what individuals can do to make the place they live healthier, is something that folks specializing in all fields can get into. From science and technology to politics and lawmaking to the promotion via social networking of sustainable habits, innovation to help the planet, and ourselves, comes in a broad variety of forms, including the arts. Artmaking has been a way humans have reflected their world, and themselves in it, for thousands of years, and now, many artists are using their talents to promote healthy and sustainable practices for everyone.

In this gallery, we’ll take a look at how four artists and one gallery are promoting recycling, renewable energy, and habitat conservation through their art. The art itself ranges from the traditional to the more avant-garde and even crosses into landscape and sound design. Click a picture below and get inspired.
