Companies based in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, can now lease the Tesla Roadster, the Roadster Sport, and soon the new Telsa Model S sedan.
Tesla Motors, the Silicon Valley manufacturer of the electric vehicles, has reached an agreement with Athlon Car Lease, an international provider of car leasing options based in Europe, to provide the Tesla car models to companies and non-profits leasing vehicles.
Both the Tesla Roadster and the Roadster Sport are available now for lease in Europe’s most populus countries. The Tesla Model S sedan, that seats five adults and has extra cargo space, is expected to be available in late 2012 when it is introduced in Europe. Tesla has delivered 1,650 roadsters to 30 countries worldwide. The electric car manufacturer is said to be the only company producing highway-capable cars with a range greater than 300 km.
Athlon said Tesla’s provides a perfect partnership for their company because it is striving to become a sustainable mobility provider that can provide customers a one-stop shop for leasing electric cars.
