Chevy Volt Comes To Canada

GM’s Chevrolet division has announced that it is taking dealership orders for the new 2012 Volt in seven markets across Canada. The automaker reports that the new version of its plug-in hybrid vehicle will retail for $41,545 CAD.

The automaker says the green car will initially be available to consumers later this year, but only in the cities of Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto, Ottawa-Gatineau, Montreal, and Quebec City.

Chevrolet is hoping that the Volt will be available nation-wide in Canada by the end of 2012, and will have three versions available: the standard trim level, a premium package, and a model that is equipped with a rear camera and park assist technology.

Chevy notes as well that it is planning to unveil three smaller, fuel efficient vehicles in the coming months – the Orlando and Sonic, planned for the fall of this year, and the Spark which is planned for a 2012 debut.
