Targus Laptop Case Once Your Coke Bottle

Targus makes a lot of laptop cases and accessories. Now, it’s aiming to reduce the environmental impact of transporting your computer–and expanding its Spruce EcoSmart line–with a brand new eco-friendly clamshell case composed of plastic from recycled bottles.

According to a recent release, the 16 inch Spruce EcoSmart Clamshell case is made from 100% recycled polyester material–which, not incidentally, is free of both PVC and nickel, reducing the amount of toxins released into the atmosphere during the manufacturing process. Designed “not only to protect the earth but also your laptop,” (yes) the Spruce Clamshell is padded inside for the comfort of your computer, and features a durable, rubberized bottom to prevent wear and tear.

As far as functionality goes, the Spruce EcoSmart Clamshell features extra storage space for all your attendant cords, chargers, and other portable electronics, etc., as well as an ergonomic (we assume this means padded) shoulder strap. The bag opens like a briefcase for easy access, is available exclusively in black and can be yours for $59.99.
