New HP Compaq All-In-One PC Has A Little Green Edge

HP, which earlier this year showcased a new Compaq brand PC with some pretty good green mojo, recently announced a new enterprise class all-in-one design PC under the same brand name with its own share of green features. It is called the Compaq 6000 Pro and it will be available in mid-July for around $900 starting.

The HP Compaq 6000 Pro is, according to HP, Energy Star qualified, EPEAT Gold certified and reportedly offers 89 percent energy-efficient power. It comes with integrated energy management software and, since it is an all-in-one design, comes in less packaging. Beyond that key features include a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Windows 7, up to 8GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive and a 21.5-inch HD LED backlit LCD screen with dual display capability.

“Our first enterprise-class all-in-one was designed with the reliability, security, manageability and stability our customers expect from the HP Compaq 6000 Pro series,” said Alan Reed, vice president and general manager, Desktop PCs, Personal Systems Group, HP, in a statement. “The 6000 Pro All-in-One offers a great mix of performance, integrated features and sleek design for no-compromise computing at a great price.”
