Want Two Energy Efficient CFL Bulbs For Free? Here’s How

Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), despite issues around potential mercury exposure if they break, provide one of the easiest and long lasting solutions for those wanting simple ways to go energy efficient at home. Not sure if CFLs are worth your time though? Perhaps you want to try them out before investing in them all around your home? An ongoing initiative brought to our attention by 1 Thing is giving you a chance to light up for free to see if CFLs are the way you want to go.

Energy Efficient Now is running something called the Free Lightbulb Initiative, which is offering to ship to American households in the lower 48 states two free CFL bulbs. This initiative is being undertaken “in an effort to reduce national energy consumption and reduce the amount of harmful gasses released by electricity generation.” These two bulbs you get for free will help you as well “save big money on your electrical bill” – to the tune of “approximately 30$ per bulb.”

Energy Efficient Now says this is a limited offer as it does not have an indefinite supply of CFL bulbs sitting around. The program says as well it will not spam you after you submit your contact information and that it also won’t share your information with anyone else.

    Nino Marchetti;
    Why are you telling people, that efficient Energy Now is giving away free CFL lightbulbs. I never said such a thing and there is no mention of it on my website. Where did you here this from? I think maybe you owe these people who are e-mailing me now some lightbulbs. Unless you plan on donating them, don’t say I am!

    This is such a scam. The only thing this company accomplished was being able to create a large mailing list for themselves .

      I totally agree, James! I requested my bulbs over 3 months ago and have received nothing! Funny though how I’ve started receiving a ton of junk email and mail that I never knew I signed up for!
