Zero Motorcycles Adds Air Induction System To Its 2010 Electric Motorbikes

Zero Motorcycles, an electric motorcycle manufacturer who last year had to recall some of its vehicles due to a potential injury producing issue, seems to have bounced back from this recall as it unveiled today details about its 2010 line up. No new motorcycles were added – it still is selling the S, DS, MX and X models – but it did add an array of new features, including a new air induction system to improve riding performance.

This new system, known as the Z-Force Air Induction System, gives those riding the S and DS models “more horsepower from lighter and more compact motors by increasing the airflow through the heart of the motor.” A new throttle technology also has been introduced “that modulates the increased power to provide riders with exacting control over the acceleration.”

Also new to the line up for 2010 is a choice of color graphic packages or Zero’s classic white on all four models and new S and DS seat configuration options which, among other choices, allow those wanting to reduce the stand over height of the motorcycle to choose a low seat.
